WHO IS JACQUI BROERING?

Jacqui Broering didn’t set out to disrupt rural healthcare—she just wanted to treat patients like people, not numbers.

Growing up on a dairy farm in Ohio, hard work and ownership were part of her DNA. Her parents, the “original entrepreneurs,” showed her what it meant to be responsible for something bigger than yourself. That same mindset shaped her 17-year career in outpatient rehab, and eventually led her to open Performance Physical Therapy & Wellness—an independent clinic that now serves both neurological and orthopedic patients across rural Midwest communities.

But Jacqui’s story didn’t stop at ownership. As insurance reimbursements declined and burnout among clinicians rose, she knew the traditional model wasn’t sustainable—not for providers or patients. Most PTs were stuck choosing between negotiating with insurance companies (rarely successful), seeing more patients in less time (a fast track to burnout), or switching to a 100% cash model (hard to scale in small towns). Jacqui believed there had to be a better way.

Her turning point came when one of her son’s classmates was diagnosed with acute flaccid myelitis, a rare and devastating neurological condition. In searching for answers—and hope—she found the Neubie. It wasn’t just a new tool, it was the lead domino that opened the door to other transformative technologies like Frequency Specific Microcurrent, PEMF, and red light therapy. These innovations weren’t adopted for hype—they were adopted to improve outcomes. And they did.

Today, her clinic has grown from 1,100 to over 4,000 square feet, and she’s expanded her services with PEAK Performance & Health—designed to serve athletes and proactive individuals who want more than what the traditional system provides. Her team now delivers care that’s efficient, effective, and centered around real human connection—not just visit counts or documentation checkboxes.
